Neat flowing contemporary owner name to fly-leaf dated 1863 and a later owner name - no internal markings. A nice tight and bright copy. Minor bump to one corner. VERY GOOD. (x), 333 pages. 8pp adverts. ** Will be well-packed for posting/shipping** John Angell James was a leading Nonconformist preacher. Pastor of Carrs Lane Independent chapel, Birmingham. He was ordained in May 1806. The church grew and in 1814 record crowds gathered to hear J.A. James. Robert William Dale (1829 - 1895) followed him as pastor in 1854 (until his death). 12mo.
