Nineteenth century half-morocco over cloth; 430+127pp. Ink stamp of the Madras Literary Society at title page gutter; binder's ticket of P. Shunmugam, Madras, on front pastedown. Hinges (internal) slightly stressed, but holding; minor conservation to leather at spine crown and corners; a few innocuous blue pencil marginal markings, but in general the text is complete and clean. Overall a Very Good copy. Main text followed by an Appendix, comprising Newman's "Answer in Detail to Mr. Kingsley's Accusations."
