Illustrated wraps, colorful wrap around covers with lake scenes, 12mo, 40 pp. Frontis very nice fold-out bird's eye view of Chequamegon Bay and the Apostle Islands, showing the villages of Chequamegon and Bayfield. First 23 pages discuss the route from Milwaukee to Ashland taken by the Wisconsin Central Railroad. Balance of the book details the area from Ashland to the Apostle Islands, with drawings of lake scenes and tourist attractions, including a drawing of the Hotel Chequamegon and floor plans of the three floors. Full page color map of Chequamegon Bay placed between the two sections of the book. No marks in book, binding tight. Frontis bird's eye view partially detached. Top corner of front cover clipped. Book condition VG. Scarce Lake Superior title.
