About This Item

[New York]: Unknown, 1919. Here is a rare pamphlet. Written by an Irish Carmelite priest.shortly after his tenure in America, a short biography of the martyred rebel. There is no publication date, but the Easter Uprising was "three years ago," which would indicate 1919. Softbound, in sewn white paper wraps. Titling in black on the front cover, decorated with the tricolour in orange, white, and black. Clean text; 42 pages. There is a frontis photograph of Pearse; the last page is a photograph of St.Enda's - the school that Pearse taught at. Light soiling to the white covers; there ius a closed tear and crease at the top of the front; the spine has been reinforced with cello tape. A rather significant artifact of the support given to Ireland through its American diaspora. . First Edition. Soft Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
