Description: Contemporary brown calf hardbound, gilt title/design on spine cover framed border of boards, brown marbled end papers, full red leaf edge (stamped author/partial title on right leaf edge), engraved architectural/foliate title page, woodcut ornaments and initials, ornate engravings throughout text, (in addition, 13 Pp Table at rear). Dimensions: 11 9/16" x 8 1/2" x 2 1/4." Condition: Good; peripheral loss to edges of title page with some staining, very small chip at corner of title page lower left leaf corner (title page to page 8), tiny earmark of lower left leaf corner (page 8-27), small to moderate chip of upper right rear pages (page 405- 457), few worm holes at right margin (no interference with text; exception to a few margin notes at right, predominantly seen from page 300 to 457), damp stain/puckering of some text pages areas throughout text; see images for condition example, tight spine, very light foxing of text, clean and legible text.
