First thorough analysis of Archimedes' method carried out on a strictly historical basis, and which covers the whole of that corpus of his writings that has come down to us. It is thus an important contribution to the history of mathematical methods in antiquity, it is in addition a contribution to the history of human thought. Some rubbing on wrappers. Wraps in overall good, binding and interior in near fine to fine condition.
