Profusely illustrated in black and white, drawings and photographs of his buildings on glossy stock. Signed presentation copy in blue ink "For Mr. & Mrs. August Heckscher in the appreciation of the hospitality given to me and my family ((Parks Commissioner under Mayor John V. Lindsay who was long active in public affairs). Heckscher also maintained a printing office at High Loft on Mount Desert Island, Maine.
