Scarce copy of this "journal and paintings of Robert Hood, Midshipman with Franklin". Hood was on of the Englishmen who ventured our to seek the Northwest Passage on the first Franklin expedition. He was one of those who died on that voyage, however, he "kept a remarkable and invaluable record, in words and paintings" of the expedition. Dust jacket has edge chips; the book's free endpaper is clipped on the top corned; book has slight musty odor. .
