Albert. xxxiii, 349pp w appendices, notes, bibliography and index. Eight indexed maps, nine indexed tables. In-text illustrations by H. Albert Hochbaum were each drawn on site while following the route of the explorers described in the journal. Light purple endpapers. Med blue cloth w crisp silver lettering on spine. No wear to covers or spine. Illustrated DJ shows small wear to head. DJ moderately yellowed at edges and spine. DJ now preserved in archival cover. Quarto. Appendixes by John W. Thomson (Lichenology) and Walter O. Kupsch (Geology) and with a Foreword by W. Gillies Ross.
