About This Item

New York: Frank A. Munsey Co., 1937. First Edition . Illustrated Wraps. Near Fine. 9 7/8" Tall. 144 pp. With long letter by Hubbard from Hollywood to the editor, on last page: "... If I write less than fifty thousand a month, my idea-machine practically breaks down... strangely, the best stories I ever did were done spontaneously at a composition speed of between two and three thousand words an hour - which includes getting up, walking around the chair, lighting the pipe and wishing they'd turn off the radio next door ... enough stalling, i've got to finish this shooting script... " This is one of the best copies imaginable, bright, unworn, absolutely clean, almost iridescent color cover, with a few short ( up to 1/4") closed tears at edges, slight wear right at heel of spine, in part because the cover is slightly larger than the book. Suitable for framing.
