Up for sale is an 1800's, Good, Ornately decorated Hardcover with Gold Gilt page block of, "Around and About Old England" by Clara L. Mateaux. There is no date, but on the first fly page is a gift inscription with quill pen dated April 5th, 1889. There is a more modern book plate also on the front fly of a later owner. It has 8 pages in the back of selections from the Cassell Company. It is a book of the facts and traditions of ancient towns and celebrated castles. There are over a 100 lovely engraved illustrations, many full page. There is no other writing. Binding is solid and tight. there is some light age spotting to a few pages.
