Deep green cloth boards with elaborate coat of arms cover decoration in black, yellow, orange, white and gold, gold lettering and line border; gold lettering and floral decoration on spine. Very slight surface wear to corners, no fraying or tears. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean with clean endpapers - no names, writing or bookplates. Gilt top page edges. Frontispiece illustration with clean tissue guard; many additional full page illustrations. Preface by the author. 369 pages..
