One Of 550 Copies, This Being #455 Hand Signed By Edward Weston On The Colophon, And Additionally Inscribed On The Facing Page By Weston "To Giovanni -- Artist (Underlined) From Edward - 1934" And Additionally Inscribed From Armitage "This Signature Is Added By Merle Armitage". (Also Included Is The Will Kistler Printed " Receiving Record" For This Copy, #455, Dated Feb. 12, 1934; Napolitano Subsequently Took A Trip To Carmel To Visit Weston, Apparently Bringing This Book With Him For Signature.) Napolitano Illustrated Many Books For Armitage, And Illustrated Some Books With Weston; Weston Took The Portrait Photograph For Armitage's Book On Napolitano In 1935, And Also Brett Weston Was The Photographer For Some Of Napolitano's Wpa Murals. An Exceptional Example, Just A Trace Of Rubbing, No Tears Or Fraying, Very Slight Toning To Spine Without Browning, All Contents Fresh With No Foxing Or Toning. Still Preserved In The Original Black Slipcase, Which Is Worn At Edges.
