Paris: Truchy's French and English Library, 1829.. First edition, 8vo, 308 pp. A few spots and light marginal browning, light damp staining to the lower edge throughout. Contemporary maroon half morocco, marbled sides and edges, gilt decorated spine. Reprinted a number of times and eventually titled "The Art of Correspondence, English and French", this first edition is decidedly scarce; OCLC listing only 2 copies worldwide, in the Bibliothèque Nationale and at the University of Rochester.
