About This Item

London: The Scientific Press, 1897. Octavo (22 x 15 cm.), viii, 264 pages. Advertisements. FIRST EDITION, second or third printing. Driver reports the first edition as published 1893, with the "New and popular edition" issued 1899. The publisher's address indicated on the title page, "28 & 29 Southampton Street", makes it likely that this was issued 1897. The book is evenly split between the descriptions of special needs for feeding for a variety of maladies, and recipes for appropriate dishes. Internally near very good, in gold and black-printed olive colored cloth. [OCLC records seven undated copies; Driver 29].
