About This Item

Sidgwick & Jackson, London, 1975. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Fair. 248 pages, list of illustrations, introduction by author, note, and index. The text is illustrated with 19 black-and-white photographs, predominantly of museum buildings. Tan coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Photographic dust wrapper, showing Dulwich College Art Gallery, against a white background with black writing on the front panel and spine. An alphabetical guide to the Art Galleries of both Britain and Ireland. Minor bumping to the head of the spine and quite heavy bumping to the lower spine area. Heavy bumping to the top book edges. Minor shelfwear to the lower book edges and the paper edges have become very slightly dust marked. A few foxing spots to the top right-hand corner of the free front endpaper and front paste down. The dust wrapper is rubbed, faded and grubby marks abound. The major problem with the dust wrapper is the white of the background has become yellow. There are the remains of two stickers, one to the top right-hand corner of the front panel and one, the lower spine area. Rubbing to the dust wrapper corners and there is a little chipping to the top dust wrapper edge and to the lower front panel edge. This is the first UK edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilo. Category: Art & Design; Catalogues; Britain; ISBN: 0283981423. ISBN/EAN: 9780283981425.
