A beautiful celebration of the work of nature artist Glen Loates. This is #60 of 300 numbered copies, signed by the artist and by the author. Foreword by Les Line, editor of Audubon Magazine. Full tan calf with raised cords. Marbled end papers. Gilt titling and decoration on front cover and spine. Folio: 18"x13.5"x3". 164 color plates (of which 13 are foldout) and 63 black and white plates. Housed in white linen slipcase with marbled paper interior. Included is a white linen portfolio containing a thirty six color lithograph, "Bison", signed and numbered (#60 of 300) by Glen Loates. All working and supportive materials, copper plates and proof prints were destroyed upon completion of this edition. A detailed description of the printing and binding of the book and print is included after the index of plates. There is some mild soiliing at the edges of the slipcase and a few small spots of rubbing on the book's spine. The binding is tight, the pages and plates are fine.
