First published in 1980 with a glassine jacket instead of a typical illustrated jacket as here. 10.5'' x 11.25''. Original grey cloth, spine lettered in gilt. In original unclipped ($50) color pictorial dust jacket. Grey endpapers. 278 pages. Inscribed by Sendak on front free endpaper: "For Evelyn / with best wishes! / Maurice Sendak / April 91." Jacket with sunning to spine and a bit to margin of front panel. Book tight.
