Large, heavy, sturdy book, tan cloth spine, brown cloth boards, very bright gilt lettering on spine, 249 stiff pages, a color-illustrated frontispiece portrait of Pope John XXIII preceded by a glossy photo section of a bronze, his death mask and hands, and a mosaic, plus a glossy photo section. DJ price-clipped, glossy gold background with small metallic portrayal of pope on front right, a panel on all of back. DJ has light wear to front tips, light crease at top front edge near spine, very slight surface wear to spine bottom edge, white borders lightly soiled on back. Near Fine DJ/Very Fine book.
