This is a sale catalog for an auction held at Sotheby's London on April 9, 2008. Sale code: L08220 "MEDINA". The sale consisted of a broad range of Islamic arts including masterpieces of calligraphy from a private European collection, an album of calligraphy annotated by Emperor Shah Jahan, an important group of sacred curtains from Mecca and Medina, a rare and important Abbasid Ka'ba key, an important Siculo-Arabic marble panel from Southern Italy, and an exceptionally rare Royal belt buckle from Al-Andalus, among many other things. 405 lots in the sale.
