London: William Heinemann Ltd, , 1928. If you do well you'll get no thanks and if you get into trouble you'll get no help First edition, first impression, of this accepted masterpiece of spy fiction, a noted source of inspiration for Ian Fleming, le Carré, and countless other spy-thriller writers.
