About This Item
New York, New York, U.S.A.: Avon Books. Soft cover. Good. Ashenden: The British Agent is a classic of espionage fiction, first printed in 1927. This copy is number g1224 in Avon's book numbering system from the fifties and sixties. The last copyright date listed is 1951, but the cover art style and price suggest this printing was from about 1967. There is some roll of the spine, with light cracking along the back cover at the spine. A past owner tried to obscure the price (50 cents) with a ballpoint. Inside the front cover there is an old bookstore stamp. Other than the age-related yellowing to be expected in books of this vintage, the pages look great. This is an excellent reading copy or place-holder for a collector of the genre. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall.
