NY: Harper & Brothers, 1935. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 8vo. 423pp. Stated first edition, with "I-K" date stamp. Black cloth with gilt spine titles and partly faded black topstain. VG/G+. Slight forward lean. Pushing at spine ends, light shelfwear, lightly toned textblock. Unclipped "2.50" jacket has chips out at head of spine, top and bottom of rear panel, and front top tip. General edgewear and rubbing, with several diagonal creases to the front flap. Prokosch's first novel, a hypnagogic and exquisitely crafted feat of the imagination.

All books ship free with tracking to domestic addresses via USPS Media Mail. In most cases, delivery takes place within a three to ten day window, although the vicissitudes of USPS may apply. Unless otherwise requested, expedited domestic purchases ship via USPS Priority Mail; overseas orders via USPS First Class International. Heavy or oversized books may incur additional shipping charges, as may books shipped to overseas destinations. Any additional charges required will be communicated promptly.
We take safe shipping very seriously; all of our books are packaged in new cardboard boxes amply cushioned with biodegradable packing peanuts. Pamphlets and other flat materials items are ocassionally shipped in bubble-mailers with internal cardboard supports. All books with dust jackets are fitted with brand new archival protectors prior to shipping.
