Moscow: Progress Publishers. 1970. First English edition. First English edition. Publisher's original black cloth with titles in silver to the upper board and spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated in black and white with numerous maps, charts and tables. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm with a touch of rubbing to the extremities. The contents are clean and bright throughout and remain free from any previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the very good dustwrapper which has a little creasing to the spine, minor chipping to the spine ends and a little shelf wear to the extremities. Not price-clipped. An extensive academic study of the myth and reality of Atlantis, translated from the Russian first edition of 1963 by David Skvirsky and with revisions by the author.
