About This Item

Chicago: Ziff-Davis, 1947. First Edition. 8vo. 21cm x 15cm. Publisher's extremely dramatic purple moiré cloth. Dustjacket. Titled in black to spine, clean and bright with some light bumping to spine neds in a fresh, strong dustjacket with some light marginal scuffing and a small shallow triangle of loss to the base of the spine. A very good copy. 235pp. Internally clean. A Ziff-Davis "Fingerprint Mystery" dealing with missing atomic secrets, and the murder of a Peer of The Realm and his glamorous society mistress. Sounds like a job for Superintendent Slade...Gribble was a prolific British mystery author now rather better known for his football based mysteries.
