Augsburg, Joseph Wolff, 1793. 8°, Titelholzstich, XVI, 1 Bl, 668 S., 9 Bl.. (Register), OLd. d. Zeit, Rücken goldgeprägt, marmorierter Schnitt, Min. berieben, Vorsatz mit Besitzereintrag, 1 Leerblatt am Anfang herausgetrennt, 5 Bl. des Registers am Steg etwas fleckig - sonst sauberes Exemplar. Vierte wiederholt verbesserte Auflage. - Sophie Juliane Weiler wird am 14. Januar 1750 als Sophie Juliane Gestenhof in Obersontheim bei Schwäbisch Hall geboren. Dort heiratet sie am 23. Februar 1768 den Diakon Johann Daniel Gotthilf Weiler (1743-1805), der 1772 als Erster Diakon an die Barfüßerkirche in Augsburg berufen wird. Sie wird Mutter von neun Söhnen und sechs Töchtern, wovon vier früh sterben. 1787 veröffentlicht sie ihr berühmtes «Augsburgisches Kochbuch», das in rasch aufeinander folgenden Auflagen zu einem großen Erfolg wird. Ein zweiter Teil erscheint 1830, herausgegeben von ihrer Tochter Jacobine Mittermayr. Am 21. Oktober 1810 stirbt Sophie Juliane Weiler in Augsburg. Sophie Juliane Weiler über ihr Kochbuch: «Meine Haus- und Familiengeschäfte sind so weitläuftig, daß ich gleich bey dem ersten Einfall sorgte, die Zeit und Kräfte möchten mir zur Ausführung desselben nicht hinreichen, um meine Sache recht zu machen. Halbgemachte Werke dieser Art sind schon genug in der Welt, denen man das Gepräge der Eilfertigkeit, oder der Unthunlichkeit bey der Ausführung der Kochvorschriften, nicht wegwischen kann. Aber ein recht gutes, brauchbares, allgemeinverständliches, treu und genau anweisendes, und doch nicht allzuweitläuftiges Kochbuch für höhere und geringere Personen, so eins wünschte ich. Aber das ist schwer, allen diesen Leuten recht zu thun; davor fürchtete ich mir. Man kann denken: Hat sies ja Niemand geheißen? Ist wahr!» 010

Invoices are to be paid within 15 days. For first orders we reserve delivery after payment in advance. In case of delay of payment, the second reminder is charged at an extra cost of CHF 10.00. Also, other additional costs are charged to the customer.
Sales return
In the event of a well-founded claim, the merchandise can be returned upon consultation within 14 days. If the claim turns out to be unsubstantiated, or the damage is the result from improper handling by the customer etc., all the costs are charged to the customer. Returns are only accepted with the invoice enclosed. Damages during shipment have to be notified within 48 hours. Otherwise the refund expires. Return upon dissatisfaction is excluded.
Place of venue
We are subject only to Swiss law. Place of venue is Zurich.
