In 1860 a group of tradesmen gathered in a small village in Scotland to compete among themselves for a silver studded belt. this event became the first open championship. By the 1930ies Bobby Jones had made his "Grand Slam" had retired and was looking for a place for the golf course he wanted to build. August met his needs the course was build and the rest is history. B&W and color photos, history of the course, and various masters, 207 pages.
