First Edition; Cr. 8vo; pp. xxii, 302 (last blank), (2) (recto colophon, verso blank); Woodburytype portrait frontispiece of Bishop Short with facsimile signature, bound in original brown cloth, short title lettered in gilt on spine, decoration of bishop's mitre in gilt on front board with the words "A Chapter of Colonial Church History", provenance: bookplate of Charles R. J. Glover, Adelaides first Lord Mayor (sold as lot 2695 in the 1970 Glover sale), missing front free endpaper, one associated newspaper tipped-in and one other loosely inserted newspaper clipping, good copy. Ferguson. 18499. Not mentioning the Woodburytype portrait as frontispiece.
