Consolidated Press, Sydney, 1945. First Edition. Softcover. Fair Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: botanical illustrations by Nuri Mass, fairy illustrations by Celeste Mass. The book was first published by The Shakespeare Head Press in 1937. Paper wraps. Black and white illustrations throughout. Wraps chipped spine with a little loss of paper at the head and foot of the spine, the wraps have lifted off the staples used in the binding, otherwise good. Muir 4873. Predominantly an educational book with good clear illustrations of Australian plants. I first thought the fairies were Ida Rentoul Outhwaite’s work. Quite a scarce, fragile little book.
