Sydney: Angus & Robertson Limited, 1933. [Patrick Scott] Cleary (1861-1941) was a journalist and editor who opposed conscription during WW I. He supported Irishmen accused as members of the Irish Republican Brotherhood. Later he moved to the right politically and became an antisemitic supporter of Mussolini. This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition. An uncommon title. Blue cloth binding with titling on the spine in gilt. Lacking a dustwrapper. Clean text; xv, 280 pages. Stamp and previous-owner signature on the FFEP. Rubbed at the margins; spine lightly faded. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
