NY: Putnam, 1882. First edition.. Green cloth, designed and lettered in gilt. Floral end papers. Inner front hinge is cracked, some very light scuffing to edges, but a bright and clean copy. Pgs. 43 - 48 contain "Mark Twain's General Reply", reprinted from a London publication of 1871.
