About This Item
Hogarth Press and the Institute of Psycho-Analysis, London: 1946., 1946 pp. 137 + (1) [Publisher's advertisement]. Text pages browned (as usual) but not brittle. 8vo, 220 mm. Original green cloth binding, lettered in gilt. Original printed dust jacket. Edited by Ernest Jones. "This work appeared originally in 1925 in volume IV of Die Medizin der Gegenwart in Selbstdarstellungen (Leipzig: Felix Meiner), a collection of short studies by various members of the medical profession designed to give a picture of the present state of medicine as revealed in the autobiographies of its leaders. The stress was thus laid by implication upon the professional rather than the personal histories of the contributors." This is not to be confused with Freud's prior autobiographical studies, as he states in the first chapter that this edition is based more on his professional work, rather than his personal experiences in the field. This Second (first British) Edition was "completely revised and elaborated" by Dr. Freud. Hardbound. Near fine. **PRICE JUST REDUCED! MED 8 Language: eng. 1st Edition.. Hardcover. Very Good/Dust Jacket Included.
