Grand Rapids, Michigan: The Dean-Hicks Company, 1925. Dark blue hardcover cloth binding with gilt titles and lightly bumped corners. Water stain bottom corner of pages but very minor damage. Reprinted from Ball's manuscript written when he was 80 years old. His early life is an intimate picture of the New Hampshire family with a large family. In 1832, he joined Capt. Wyetg on a trip to Oregon, Then he becam a passenger on a whaling vessel. In 1836 he helped settle Western Michigan. After the Civil War, he journeyed south and eventually traveled to Europe.. Illus. by Photographs. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardcover. Good+/No Jacket.
