Pages are mildly tanned and heavily foxed, but text remains clear. Binding is firm. Noticeable marking to front pastedown. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and crushing to ends. Spine and edges are slightly tanned. Silver is bright. Mild marking overall. Boards are slightly bowed. Unclipped jacket. Noticeable tanning and foxing to all surfaces. Panels have light edgewear, with small tears, chips and creases, heavier to spine ends. Visible marking to exterior.
Synopsis
A popular yet idiosyncratic poet, W. H. DAVIES (1871-1940) first came to notice through his self-published volume, The Soul's Destroyer . He was the author of several works of autobiography including Beggars, A Poet’s Pilgrimage , and the posthumously published account of his marriage, Young Emma .
