1919. Ephemera. Autograph letter signed, dated September 18, on letterhead of The Pasadena California Evening News, James W. Foley, Assistant Editor. Letter thanks O'Day for 'the sympathetic and friendly review of the play' and sends him 'a prose bit you will like I am sure.' About 60 words. Pamphlet, 6 pages, 3.5 x 6.8 inches, with rust mark from paperclip on front cover. Pamphlet also signed with full name. James W. Foley was a poet, playwright and journalist, and friend of Teddy Roosevelt. He wrote 'North Dakota Hymn', the official state song.
