About This Item
Stiff card, approximately 3 1/2" x 4 1/2", signature and title, "Minister of Justice, Praha, Cz. Slov. Rep." Dr. Frantisek Soukup was born in 1871, studied secondary school in Cáslav and Kolín, and completed his studies in law in Prague and Graz. He was an active journalist and founded the Social Democratic newspaper Právo lidu (The Rights of Man). He gained political experience in the Austro-Hungarian Imperial Council and Revolutionary National Assembly. He served as the first Czechoslovak Minister of Justice. Slight toning, mounting traces on verso, else fine..
