About This Item
Paris: Garnier Frères., [c.1859]. Octavo. Handsomely bound in contemporary quarter dark green morocco over black pebble-grained cloth boards. All edges gilt. White watered silk endpapers. Green silk page marker. Profusely illustrated throughout with full-page plates, including tissue-guarded frontispiece, and in-text drawings by J. J. Grandville. A very good copy, the binding square and tight with a little wear to board edges and corners. The contents with some very occasional light foxing are otherwise in very good order throughout. An attractive French edition of Robinson Crusoe, wonderfully illustrated by J. J. Grandville.
