About This Item

Philadelphia: Carey, Lea & Blanchard, 1834. First US edition. Very good. Hardcover. 2 volumes. Tall 8vo. Bound in original boards: drab cloth spines, paper over boards, remnants of printed lettering labels. Expected wear at edges, some soiling, else a very good set. The first American edition of the third of Morier's highly readable novels set in Persia. Rare, and more so in original boards. In a custom clamshell case. For the English edition, see Sadlier, 1796; Wolff 4927.
