New York: Random House, 1935 First American edition. Translated from French by Merle S. Haas. HB. Tan pictorial cloth , no dustjacket. 48pp, h: 28cm. Illustrated in colour by the author throughout. Ex -school library (label inside back cover and stamp to top closed edges); boards rubbed with frayed spine ends & corners, largely clean, a few light marks. Pages mostly bright, through a few have tears (quite large to two pages) with old tape residues where once repaired, and others have small handling marks; hinges cracked and a few pages are pulling away from threads in part. A Fair copy.
