New York: Random House, 1941. First edition. Hardcover. First French language edition printed at the same time as the edition printed in France. Concludes with a lovely double spread illustration of Babar and family and Pere Noel encircling a candle lit Christmas tree.
Folio, [38]pp. Quarter yellow cloth and illustrated paper covered hard boards. Boards rubbed at edges; pages bright and clean. Dust jacket chipped at edges and spine with some loss, with triangular section missing at top of front panel, with loss to the letter "B" in the title. The book in very good condition; the dust jacket in good - condition.
