About This Item
Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1922-01-01. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. No dust jacket. Stamped 'Sample Copy Publication Date September 14 1922' on the title page. The blue cloth boards with orange decoration are rubbed bare at the lower right, rubbed heavily elsewhere, moderate wear all around. The spine is more heavily worn with threads beginning to show at the base and crown. Pen name and date (September 13 1922) on front endpaper, inside covers and endpapers are a little discolored from time. Page 49 has corrected typographical error which means they sent sales folks on the road with second state, first edition. A very nice copy of a classic American novel. All orders packed with care, independent bookseller since 2011
