An account of a flight of a party of English travelers across the southern provinces of China to escape the Boxer rebellion. and the group's stay with the Lolos, now called Yei, and other of Southern China's non-Chinese minority groups.Text is clean, tight and unmarked, slightly yellowed. Black buckram boards with gold-stamped title and a red stamped frame with Chinese characters, are a little bumped and frayed at corners and spine ends. Spine is slightly lighter than boards.
