New York: George H. Doran Company. Hardcover. Good +. George H. Doran Co., ND (circa 1920s). Hardcover. Missing/No DJ. 6" x 9" Dark green cloth boards. Discoloration spots on cover possibly dampstain. Embossed stamp on bottom corner of front cover is faded. Edges are square. Corners are very lightly rubbed. Gilt lettering on spine. Shelf wear to head and tail of spine. Slight spine roll. Top edge of textblock is heavily darkened. Foxing and discoloration to fore-edge. Pages are age-tanned with light foxing. B&W photo plates throughout are crisp with some staining at edges of plates. Closed tear of frontispiece from hinge. No writing on pages. This book includes maps and photographs to highlight the author’s own exploration of Dr. Livingstone’s travels. history
