Adverts at end; viii+186pp. 12mo orig. green cloth gilt, Deemed damaging to morale, 'The Backwash of War' was banned soon after these early impressions in both England and France and later censored in wartime America. It was not reprinted until 1934. This early impression has London mentioned in the publisher's imprint but was printed in New York. No Jacket
