No owner inscrptn and no price removal from rear board. Bright,crisp,clean,sharp-cornered,glossy,glazed,colour pictorial artwork by Tony Ross, illustrated boards with capitalised,black-lettered title, author and illustrator names to front board; blue spine/backstrip with black-lettered author+illustrator names,capitalised,black-lettered title and publisher's black illustrated colophon to foot of same, rear panel with colour pictorial illustration, and immaculate pale grey endpapers with a 3-colour block (b/w+grey) illustration of of Polar bear removing its outer fur over the course of the those sets of endpapers. Negligible shelf-wear,bumping,creasing to edges and corners - no nicks, tears or splits present but some minimal, superficial indent to rear boards, top edge, rear top corner - else virtually scoring/indent free.Top+fore-edges bright, crisp and clean - no foxing/spotting; contents bright, tight, clean, solid and sound - virtually pristine - no dog-ear reading creases to any pages; corner tips, appears unread other than my own collation.UK,slim Qrto HB,no dw/dj,as issued, colour illustrated,1st edn,44pp [paginated and includes both free endpapers] also includes vignette illustrated title page with a colour pictorial illustrated dedication,an illustrated Introduction,16 illustrated animal rhyming couplet verses of animals such as the YAK, POLAR BEAR, DODO, CAMELOPARD, ELEPHANT, BABOON and the FROG etc. Visually the exterior appearance is exceptional, and particularly internally, the book is also in an exceptional condition/state of preservation and presentation for a book of its 20+ year-old age and nature, i.e. a child's book. It is only the minima exterior fault described that prevents a slightly higher grading.Despite that,it really is still an exceptional, exemplary example for its cleanliness, brightness and lack of detracting faults.
