About This Item

E.R. Baker, 1985-01-01. Paperback. Very Good. 1985 Anundsen Publishing / E.R. Baker (Matlacha, Florida), 8 3/8 x 11 inches tall paperbound in orange printed covers, copiously illustrated with black-and-white photographs, facsimiles, charts and maps (some folding), [4], 74 pp. Slight abrasions and edgewear to covers, with a bit of creasing to the tips. Foxing to fore page edge. Former genealogy library copy, with stamps to top and bottom page edges and top margin of title page, and accession number to verso of front cover, as the only indications of this. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce genealogy and family history. ~SP22~ [1.5P] The first of two volumes looking at the life, ancestry and descendants of Peter Baker (circa 1767-1822), who was in Orange County, New York in 1805, moved to Tompkins and Tioga Counties before 1815 and died in Candor, New York. He may have married more than once. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Michigan, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida and elsewhere. This first volume centers on the life of Peter Baker, and looks at his immediate descendants. The subtitle is 'He came from Orange County' (But where was he born?)
