About This Item

E.R. Baker. Good. 1987 Anundsen Publishing / E.R. Baker (Matlacha, Florida), 8 3/8 x 11 inches tall paperbound in orange printed covers, copiously illustrated with black-and-white photographs, facsimiles, charts and maps, index, [4], 162 pp. Slight abrasions and edgewear to covers, with a bit of creasing to the tips and bumping to the lower spine edge. Foxing to fore page edge. Accession number to verso of front cover. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce genealogy and family history. ~SP22~ [1.5P] The second of two volumes looking at the life, ancestry and descendants of Peter Baker (circa 1767-1822), who was in Orange County, New York in 1805, moved to Tompkins and Tioga Counties before 1815 and died in Candor, New York. He may have married more than once. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Michigan, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida and elsewhere. This second volume centers on the life of Nathan I. Baker, 'born and married in Candor, Tioga County, New York, came to Michigan in 1872, and went to Tennessee in 1907, where he died in 1911.' In addition to more than 100 Bakers, other surnames which receive extensive coverage (among many others) include: Bagley, Burr, Eymann, Farner, Fitzgerald, Fussell, Gilbank, Gilman, Grandy, Herber, Kagle, Kronsberger, Lecureux, Linder, Linhard, McGregor, Pellerito, Rubey, Turner, Young.
