Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner and Co.,, London, 1892. Limited Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Rebound. Illustrator: Hugh Thomson. list of illustrations and notes. Black and white illustrated title page, and the other illustrations within the text have all been drawn by Hugh Thomson. Beige coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. A series of poems by this author illustrated by Hugh Thomson published in 1892. This book is one of a limited edition of 450 copies  250 copies for England, and, 200 copies for America ('The Large Paper Edition'), of which this is number 120. Inserted loosely into a book is a small pamphlet advertising further works from the author. This book has been rebound. Softening and chipping to the top back strip edge with softening of lower back strip edge. There are splits along the front spine gutter edge and the back strip is quite sunned  please see photograph. Bumping to the top book corners with rubbing of the lower book edges. Stains, rubs and sunning to the book panels. The top text block edge appears gray � as if gilding has worn away. Uniform tanning and faint foxing of the text block edges. Offset tanning and foxing to the end pages and the foxing extends into the book  though it is rather faint. The majority of the large illustrations have tissue guards and the guards are somewhat aged with the occasional foxing spot. Surprisingly the pages are not as toned as would be expected given the publication date. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. [11], XII - XIII, [4], 2 - 89, [3] pages,. Deckled edges (rough cut).
