About This Item
Berne: Busag, 1932. Book. Near Very Good. Original Cloth. Signed by the Poet. First Edition. Book has modest cover wear, ex lib. thus near very good. Limited edition of 100 not for sale but as gifts only. What makes this copy interesting is that on the front fep Sarah Cleghorn gifts it to the Manchester, NH library and notes that it is being given to the library after her reading of the poem to the State Library Association in 1943. On the title page she writes a second note and suggests a reference to support her contention of the power of peace and kindness. She further notes this volume was privately printed in 100 copies due to the kindness and friendship of Mrs. H. H. Porter of Switzerland who also found the illustrations used in the book. Unique.
