No true publication date in book. Circa 1908. NOT ex-library. Small hardcover (6.75 x 4.3 inches) has blue-green flexible leather-covered boards with gilt spine lettering and decorations. Green and white marble-printed endpapers. Green index ribbon. Top page edges gilt. Black and white frontispiece and 106 illustrations. Edited, and with an introduction by George Saintsbury. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with some fraying and chipping at tips and spine ends. Approximately a sixteenth of an inch missing from the spine ends and corners rubbed through. Covers have light surface and edge wear, with light scratches. Leather separated from the board along most of the top edge. One small thin peel in the leather at the top front corner. Last two-inches of index ribbon are missing. Pages lightly and uniformly tanned but still supple. Pages clean and unmarked. 480 thin bible-paper pages. No dust jacket. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
